michael
krauss started producing music about seven years ago with his beloved
amiga, terrorizing mostly himself with noisy gabba tracks. after
buying a pentium machine in winter 1996 he gave his project the
name f a v (stands for fucking and vomiting) and started adding
vocals to his songs. f a v's music is influenced by all the styles
michael likes, such as industrial, noise, punk, electric body music,
drum'n'bass, breakbeat and even some sorts of jazz. some of the
bands that have an influence on his output are einstürzende neubauten,
nine inch nails, wumpscut, ea80, mentallo & the fixer, winterkälte,
prodigy and lard. resulting from this, f a v's tracks are groovy,
noisy, intense and some kind of sick.
in
1998 f a v recorded his first album, titled "miscellaneous", and
burned some copies on cd-r. having more luck than he deserves, michael
met karl, mastermind of b-ton-k,
who was about to start a label and liked the tracks. "miscellaneous"
was released in march 1999 on daham
recordings and was distributed by novatekk (r.i.p.).
immediatelly
after this release, he started working on some remixes and new tracks.
in august/september 2000 enough tracks for a new album were finished,
rudy r. heard them and released it under the name "feinde auf
valium" on his label mental
ulcer forges in february 2001. that's the story so far.
big thank-yous go out to karl (for making the release of "miscellaneous"
possible), rudy ":wumpscut:" r. (for finalizing the mix of "miscellaneous",
letting me appear on the totmacher single and for the support for
"feinde auf valium"), everyone at novatekk and connected
(for doing a great job), pat ze blue (for webspace on insania.com)
and to everyone who encouraged me !
